Put To Sleep

A Random Sampling of things my kids "put to sleep." Above: Dora's twin brother and Sister
Boo from Monsters, Inc., was promptly put to sleep in the hotel when we went to Disneyland.
Baby Jasmine sleeping on Ryan's Bed.
Even the Remote Control need it's beauty sleep.
Oh yes, the Superman punching bag is also tired.
Baby in dollhouse.
Wilbur asleep.....no wonder I can't find my towels or washcloths.
Wilbur again....
and again.....
And Mickey Mouse in the pack n' play.

Ryan can even put Riley Nelson to sleep. The funny thing with this is that my children are the worst bedtime kids around! They hate to go to sleep. I dread bedtime every night. So we usually resort to doing a Dairy Queen run and they fall asleep in the car, but that's not economical nor is it good for my waistline. Any advice for us??? I know kids that are sent to their rooms and they just fall asleep.....how do you do it?? And I don't want to hear "Stick to a bedtime routine...", we've tried that. I'm more interested in a choke hold.....or some secret ninja move where you hit a pressure point and they fall asleep. PLEASE....I'm tired.

If the house is a-rockin', don't come a-knockin'

Ok....that sounds appropriate. I'm saying this because we have felt three earthquakes in the last few days and it's starting to freak me out!!! The epicenter of the earthquakes have been southeast of Calexico, so a little ways away, but still scary. I keep checking the US Geographical Survey and there have been over 30 earthquakes in that same spot since Friday! Most of them are smaller, but quite a few have been over 3.0 and the ones we have felt here have been 5.0 and 5.1. I told my sister who lives in California and she asked if we have our emergency kit ready and we don't!! Last week, a big wind storm knocked out the power at night and we didn't have batteries for our flashlight....wherever it is. So I lit every Gold Canyon Candle I had and then had a huge headache from the great mixtures of scents. My sister in law is the Emergency Preparedness Coordinator in her ward....I will be calling her today!

The Happiest Place on Earth

Reagan giving Mickey a Hug!!!!

Ryan is Snow White's House.
We went to Disneyland the last week of January for two days. Chris hates going to Disneyland because we've always gone when it's crazy (like Memorial Day.....don't go!). Last year Ericka and I took the kids the first week of February and it was great! So we decided every year to go at the same time and this year was no different. It is the BEST time to go. California adventure was pretty much empty. We got on Soaring over California without waiting in line. Ryan got on it two times and had a blast! Everyone walked on Tower of Terror two times without waiting. At Disneyland, the longest wait was the new Finding Nemo ride at 20 minutes, but they weren't even handing out fast passes for any rides, because you didnt' need them! 5 minute wait for Space Mountain, Pirares, and Indiana Jones. Anyway.....next year....anyone who wants to go, come with us! Last week of January or first week of February.

Yay for me!

Ok I don't want to sound like I'm tooting my own horn, but I just wanted to announce my big news. Some of you may know that I have had "a little bit of a weight problem" for the past few years.....mmmm.....let's see......last four years. I didn't let myself go, I let myself have kids. So, anyway, Today I weighed myself and I have lost a total of 22 pounds and 18 of that in the last four months!!! So, I won't put up any before and after pictures until I'm completely done losing the weight. 22 down......20-25 more to go! NO MORE BAHODAS!!!! (that means fat slob.)
