I planned it that way!!

I am not a huge reader. It takes me about a month or so to finish a book usually. I can't justify sitting down with a book, because, One, I don't have time to sit down and read, and, two, I feel like I have many other projects that I should complete or begin before I do something like read. All through high school, I never finished any of the required reading assignments, other than "Black Elk Speaks" (I don't know why, but I found that book fascinating.) When everyone was talking about the Harry Potter books....I just didn't get into reading them....I just watched the movies. But after I watched the Goblet of Fire, I read The order of the Phoenix, Half Blood Prince, and Deathly Hallows. I was so glad I did. The movies made so much more sense. I have yet to go back and read the first four books....one day, I hope.
And now everyone is talking about the "twilight" books by Stephanie Meyer. I was interested in reading them, but again.....can't justify the time it takes to read a book. I'm really busy right now with Work, Young Womens, starting a business, housework, and yes, two kids!!! I knew the fourth and final book came out this past weekend, so that last I went to Target, I picked up the first book, which they are now making a movie.
OK....I was wrong.....I should make time to read!!!! I cannot put it down!! I am a slow reader so I'm not done yet......in fact writing this blog is taking away precious reading time to see how this story unfolds.
This morning I informed Chris that I bought him his favorite kind of cereal and that I promised that I would not have a single bowl.....(this is because he complained that I finish all the cereal before he gets a bowl......hey "snooze, you lose"....not my fault.) He looked at me with a surprised face...."No way you can't do it!", he says. and I said...."If Edward can resist drinking the blood of the women he loves......surely I can not eat your cereal." It brought a tear to my eye....(I think it was allergies.) His eye....rolled. Ok.
So I think I have it made. I can read through all four novels without having to wait impatiently for a book release. The only sleep I'll be missing is from laying in bed reading, rather than waiting in line for a midnight release. I am a genius.
PS....Anyone care to let me borrow the second and third and fourth book?

I'm with you Chris. Natalie is reading the last of these books about a scrawny, and I'm sure ugly, vampire. Don't get me wrong I love reading,(and by "reading" I mean watching movies) but books about a vampire being in love with a human just sounds far fetched to me. Everyone knows that would never happen. I tried dating a female vampire once back in high school. I liked her a lot but one day she came after my blood, but I got away just in time. It left a big bruise on my neck. It took three months to convince my bishop that it was just a vampire bruise.
Oh, and Edna, if you like harry potter and twilight you'll love the 307th book in the Star Trek Saga. It is an excellent book. See ya at the convention!

Welcome to the club!! My husband also cannot comprehend my love for a vampire (and by the way bryan, he is a HOT vampire!!!!). I'm sure it is jealousy! Anyway, the books just keep getting better so you better clear your schedule for the next week!

I'm glad you're reading! When I read the books earlier this year it seemed as if Edward was everywhere...from the Cullen studies that were cited in the lessons Dan and I had to teach, to the silver volvo my visiting teaching companion drives. It was hard to concentrate on anything else!

Bobby is finishing up book four! He's the best! He thinks they are great books! I can lend you the others, and you can even keep book four. Bobby had to have his own copy. He didn't want to have to wait for me to finish.

Well, I am the same Edna, everyone kept telling me about them. A few weeks ago I read them all. Each one within 24 hrs. I read #4 when it came out last weekend during vacation. Aren't they great? Now I feel validated for liking them, because lets face it - you've got great taste!

Yeah! More fans! I got the books for Christmas. My friends had been bugging me for a while. I love vampires and yet I never read them. So, I read them all at the begining of the year and then again before the fourth book came out. I am still in the fourth book, taking my time. They are so good! Her book the Host was really good, at least I thought so. But don't start it until you finish the first of the Harry Potters! The third was my favorite...much better then the movie and explains so much more! Reading is much better to waste time on then say watching TV or cleaning the house that the kids will just get dirty again anyway! My hubby is annoyed that I have been reading so much. But since I can't hear peoples thoughts, I don't have to hear his internal whining as well! Enjoy the books, they are great.

Gee took you long enough. I just wait for my mom to buy them and give them to me. They are good I don't recommend unless it's really really good!
